高校1・2年生【グローバル・スタディ・プログラム】「第5回甲南リサーチフェア」を開催しました

SDGsや防災についての研究内容を発表する「第5回甲南リサーチフェア」が16日に開催されました。グローバル・スタディ・プログラムを履修している中学3年～高校3年生の全生徒が参加して、半年以上かけた研究内容を大学教員らにプレゼンし、互いに学び合いました。

生徒自らが課題を設定し、解決に向けてリサーチを進めていく「探究学習」の発表機会として開催。高校二年生は、SDGsが掲げる17の開発目標を参考に独自のテーマを設け、「フードバンクのネットワーク強化に向けて」や「教員による吃音症の啓蒙活動」、「高齢者を対象としたe-sportsの普及」「スポーツにおいて男女の体の違いをこえて共存できるか」などについて発表しました。

生徒たちが半年以上かけて取材やアンケートを重ねた研究内容について、アドバイザーとして参加いただいた大学教員からも「高校生らしい瑞々しい観点からなされた研究」「答えのない問いに真摯に向き合う姿勢を評価したい」などと講評をいただきました。

高校一年生は、防災をテーマにポスター発表。阪神淡路大震災の被災者の方々にお話を伺った経験を基に、「災害時に向けた『やさしい日本語』の普及について」や「東日本大震災の風評被害を防ぐには」などの視点から発表を行いました。

この日は、昨年度に発表を経験した高校三年の生徒がアドバイザーや各会場の司会に取り組み、中学3年生は先輩たちの発表に聞き入って次年度以降の研究のイメージをつかみました。グローバル・スタディ・プログラムでは今後も、生徒たちが主体的に研究を進め、互いに学び合う機会を提供していきます。

On December 16, the Global Study Program held its fifth annual Global Research Fair. The event was successful for both the 2nd Year and 1st Year high school students delivering informative presentations.

In the first half, the 2nd Year students presented on topics ranging from sociology and education to urban development, business, and technology, each one having strong connections to several SDGs. Over the past year, the students strengthened their autonomous learning through conducting deep research, as well as field work through interviews with professionals in the field of their chosen topic. Finally, on this day, the students were able to deliver their research to a panel of their peers, teachers, and guest lecturers from Konan University, who assisted by having discussions about the presentations providing further guidance to the students.

In the second half of the event, the 1st Year students presented to the same panel. As this is their first year, the students worked on developing the necessary skills for conducting research and summarizing their data in a clear and concise manner, through poster displays. The topic they presented on was about natural disaster prevention and response, specifically in relation to earthquakes. Aside from developing research skills, the students were able to develop their presentation skills as it was their first time presenting to an audience outside of their classmates. In the end, they all did a fantastic job.
